The British Paedodontic Society (BPS), which later became the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry(BSPD), at or around the time of the General Dental Council (GDC) establishing a specialist list in Paediatric Dentistry, was founded in 1968. BSPD is the national society dedicated to improving the oral health of children from brith to 16 years of age. The BPS tie dates back to 1986.
