European Association of Osseointegration. This association – the EAO, founded in Munich in 1991, is a non-profit organisation formed as an independent, international, interdisciplinary science-based forum for all professionals interested in the art and science of osseointegration. The EAO aims to be one of the leading organisations within the field of implant dentistry for the purpose of improving the quality of patient care by bridging the gap between science and clinical practice. The EAO tie dates back to soon after the formation of the organisation.
