nternational Islamic University of Malaya (Malaysia) This University, one of the top five Islamic universities of the world, often referred to, at least in Malaysia, as IIUM is a public university, headquartered in Gombak, Selangar, supported by eight governments and the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The university was founded, according to Islamic principles, in 1983. The IIUM dental school, which forms one of the 14 faculties (kulliyyat in Arabic) of the University is based in Kuantan, the capital of the State of Pahang, 277 kilometres north of Kuala Lumpur.
