In 1923 Ramspergen & Co was founded in Zurich to produce artificial teeth for dentures. Ten years later, the company relocated to Liechtenstein and started to trade as Ramco AG. The artificial teeth produced by this company were very popular. In 1951 Ramco AG was renamed Ivoclar – a combination of the French words 2 “ivoire” (ivory) and “clair” (clear). The Ivoclar Group – a multinational business, has produced, in addition to artificial teeth, a wide range of typically innovative products, specifically tooth-coloured restorative systems.
