Royal Army Dental Corp 12 Group
Royal Army Dental Corp 12 Group 12 Dental Group RADC was formed in 1975 at
Dusseldorf in Germany. It included the Command Dental Laboratory and covered the
area of the old 3 Armoured Division as well as the Rear Combat Zone and the
Communication Zone (Emblem). In July 1985, the 12 Dental Group HQ moved to Dortmund, losing the Command Laboratory and Dental Centre Dusseldorf to the newly
formed HQ & Technical Services RADC. 12 Dental Group then combined with No. 1 Dental Group during the restructuring of BAOR (British Army of the Rhine) to become the only Dental Group in BAOR. 12 Dental Group was then not only the largest Grroup,
but for the time when the laboratory at Dusseldorf was incorporated, was the largest
Army Dental Service unit in terms of manpower and geographical area. 12 Dental Group
closed down in September 1993. The 12 Group tie dates
from the formation of the Group in 1975.
