Societa Italiana di Parodontologia e Implantologia. The Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology (SIdP) was formed in Rome on 18th December 1979 by 30 individuals with special interests and expertise in Periodontology. In April 1980, the Assembly of Founders of SIdP elected the first President of the Society (Guiseppe Ceria) for a two-year term of office, and admitted the members of the Italian Study Group of Periodontology as Active Members of the Society. In November 1992 SIdP joined the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). SIdP celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2004 (22686.8 – condition, new – Marinella, Napoli), followed by a 30th anniversary celebration in 2009 (20832.8 – condition, good).
