St Georges University of London St George’s University of London is the UK’s only university dedicated to medical and health science education, training and research. The St Geoge’s University of London tie (22160 – condition, worn), dating back to the 1970s, features a motif of St George – a soldier venerated in Christianity, slaying the dragon, which extorted initially animal and subsequently human offerings from terrified villagers. When the next offering was going to be a beautiful princess, St George intervened to rescue the princess and slay the dragon.
